Our 2nd Annual Mother's Day Tea Party
On May 10th, 2025, from 1 to 3 PM, Hudson Park Children's Greenhouse held its 2nd annual Mother's Day Tea Party, welcoming numerous families to celebrate this special occasion.
The Gather Greenhouse was beautifully decorated in shades of pink and green, featuring tall orchids and vintage floral tea pots under oversized glass domes. Some mother-daughter guests even arrived in matching outfits, adding a delightful touch to the celebration. A custom Instagram wall, adorned with pink rose garlands and a Mother's Day banner, was available for photographs. Each adult guest was given a raffle ticket and at the end of the event, Millie, the non-profit president awarded a beautiful, decorated basket filled with gifts to a lucky recipient.
Guests enjoyed a variety of homemade treats, including scones, mini muffins, lemon loaf bread, mini bagels, watermelon in paper cups, sandwiches cut into triangles on tiered trays, mini heart shortbread cookies, and mini chocolate chip cookies. A generous selection of teas and a popular offering of mimosas served in champagne flutes complemented the delicious spread.
In the Grow Greenhouse, children engaged in creative activities, making charming paper flowers from colorful paper hearts and assembling them on striped paper straws to place in terra cotta mini flowerpots. They also crafted Mother's Day cards using construction paper and magic markers.
The lobby hosted a plant sale featuring flowering potted plants such as geraniums, begonias, and carnations, as well as herbs, with prices ranging from $5 to $20.
Ten HPCG volunteers, easily identifiable in their bright green vests, were on hand to assist throughout the event, ensuring everything ran smoothly.
Overall, the Mother's Day Tea Party was a wonderfully successful event, bringing joy and creating lasting memories for all who attended.
