Volunteer Picnic Brings Haunt at Wildcliff Crew Together
On Sunday, July 27th, the creator of Haunt at Wildcliff hosted a festive Volunteer Picnic—a heartfelt gathering for past and future Halloween volunteers. Over 50 attendees came together, each bringing a dish to share, creating a vibrant and generous potluck atmosphere.
The group included a wide range of returning talent: actors, makeup artists, set builders, event coordinators, and more. Before the festivities kicked off, a visiting expert led a special airbrush makeup workshop for Kayla, who will be taking the lead on makeup this year.
The picnic feast was impressive and eclectic. John Hessel prepared eight packages of boiled hot dogs, Angela Stenroos contributed a classic macaroni salad, and David O’Neil brought delicious chicken. Guests enjoyed two types of Mexican corn salad, Caesar salad, Japanese noodles, and bowtie pasta salad. The dessert table was overflowing with treats—homemade cookies, fruit cups, chocolate-covered strawberries, and much more.
Outdoor games like cornhole and badminton added to the relaxed, fun vibe. Laughter, catching up, and shared memories filled the afternoon. For many, it was a delightful challenge to recognize one another without Halloween makeup!
A special congratulations to David O’Neil for organizing such a wonderful event. Millie also played a key role in helping prepare the space—her efforts did not go unnoticed.
It was a beautiful day of community, creativity, and celebration. Here's to another spectacular haunting season ahead!
