Halloween

The Haunt at Wildcliff Mansion

This year's "The Haunt at Wildcliff Mansion" was a spine-chilling success, marking its second year and bigger and better than ever. Set on a windswept cliff overlooking Echo Bay in New Rochelle, NY, this immersive Halloween experience transported over 3,500 attendees to the haunted estate of Dr. Wildcliff, a reclusive botanist with a dark obsession. For 10 days in October/November 2024, guests explored Dr. Wildcliff’s forgotten laboratory, the restless cathedral and graveyard, the haunted corn maze, and the labyrinthine halls of Wildcliff Mansion, encountering ghostly figures and reanimated horrors at every turn.

Dr. Wildcliff’s forbidden experiments with botany and necromancy had gone horribly wrong, creating nightmarish creatures that haunted the mansion, greenhouse, and grounds. This year, the event featured 62+ volunteer actors and dozens of event staff, making it Southern Westchester’s largest haunted attraction.

The event was spearheaded by Eastchester technology teacher and Discover Camp director David O'Neil, along with professional set designer and scenic fabricator/painter, David Calamari. Proceeds from the event benefited the Hudson Park Children's Greenhouse, supporting our mission to provide educational and engaging experiences for children.

Join Us Next Year!

We are thrilled to announce that "The Haunt at Wildcliff Mansion" will return next year, and we are always looking for enthusiastic volunteer actors to join our team. If you are interested in being part of this spine-tingling experience, please email us at info@hpcgreenhouse.org.

Pumpkin Patch

For younger children, the Hudson Park Children’s Greenhouse “Pumpkin Patch” offered a fun and less scary alternative. Kids painted pumpkins, participated in a skeleton scavenger hunt, and enjoyed treats during the citywide Arts Fest 2024. Families explored “The Haunt at Wildcliff Mansion” with the lights on and no actors, making it perfect for those who prefer a less frightening experience.

Stay tuned for more details about next year's event and how you can get involved. We can't wait to see you there!
