Community Clean Up!

in News by Karen Hessel

LAZ Parking and Monroe College students helped HPCG committee members do a fall cleanup at Hudson Park Children’s Greenhouse on Friday, October 6th, 2017.

Steve Nakashima wrote “Thank you to LAZ Parking and to Monroe College for helping me to cleanup inside the pond and fence enclosure of the greenhouse on Friday. We really appreciate the help and support that they provide each time that we have these sessions. The place was looking good in time for our Pumpkin Painting event held at the greenhouse yesterday.

People were amazed at how much growth there had been since our last cleanup in April. There are trees pushing out the glass from inside the greenhouse that still need removal but the exterior is in very good shape now. And, fortunately the pond was dry this time so its cleanup was much easier than past times when people had to put on rubber boots and scoop out the stagnant water with dustpans.

Thanks again to Todd and Kyle from LAZ Parking and Kat and Nathalie from Monroe College for helping to make it happen. And to Brian for bringing the key.”
